If you are expanding a multiple-partition array, you add free space
at the end of the array.
Note: Once you start expanding array capacity, you cannot
stop it. The Expand Function may take an hour or more to
complete, depending on the array type, array size, disk
drive speed, and other processes running on the controller.
To expand an array
1 Press Menu, choose Controller Menu, then press Enter.
2 Choose the desired controller
3 Choose Array Menu, then press Enter.
4 Choose the array you want, then press Enter.
5 Choose Expand Function, then press Enter.
6 Choose Start Expand, then press Enter.
7 Choose the number of disk drives you want to add, then press
Enter.
All available disk drives display.
8 Choose a disk drive to add, then press Enter. Repeat for every
disk drive you want to add.
Expansion begins and the percentage completed appears.
9 Press Esc to return to the Array menu.
