Determining the Number of Wires Required

Determine the wires needed in each step and add the number of wires from each step together to determine the total
number of wires required.
Step 1 – Dispenser Power
All models of the Pacific eNVy Series require the following wires:
1 x 12ga. green or green/yellow (depending on code) ground wire for Earth Ground
1 x 14ga. white neutral wire for 120 volt Electronic Power Neutral or 1 x 14ga. red for 240 volt for Electronics
Power Neutral
1 x 14ga. black power wire for Electronics Power – Line
Step 2 – Communications Wiring
Notes:
Field installed communication wires located inside the electrical enclosure of the dispenser cannot be loose
and must be tightly held in place by fasteners (e.g. cable or zip tie).
Communication wiring, wiring harnesses, and/or cables must be routed through the bordering white wire
clips mounted inside the electrical enclosure away from the 819 or 919 CPU/Barrier board components as
shown in Figure 12.
Fasteners
The Pacific eNVy electronics can communicate using 2-wire current loop per side or 3-wire RS-485 communication
per side. If the dispenser is to be connected to a control console using the
communication wires will be needed. Run 2 separate wires for each current loop channel.
