Cauti on: Care should be taken not to scratch the white calibrati on bar. Instructi ons for
cleaning the white calibrati on bar are given later in this secti on.

Reinsert the test table into the analyzer by holding the table at the end opposite the
white calibrati on bar, with the white calibrati on bar facing upwards. Push the test tab-
le fi rmly, but slowly just over halfway into the analyzer. Replace the test table insert.
Disinfecti ng the Test Table and Insert

Prepare one of the following soluti ons in a tall, narrow container to a depth of
about 4 inches (10 cm):
•
Precept, Cidex, Theracide, and Amphyl soluti ons – prepare according to pro
duct directi ons.
•
Household Bleach (5% sodium hypochlorite) – this can be used either full
strength or diluted with water to as much as 1:20 (i.e., mix 5 mL bleach with
95 mL water for a total of 100 mL).
•
Isopropyl Alcohol (70% to 85%) - this can be used full strength.
Cauti on: Rinse away all bleach residues, as remaining bleach will aff ect several of the
reagent pad chemistries.
