MPTS Installation
To install the OS/2 driver with MPTS, you need to know
the names of the network protocols your network
environment uses.
1 Use one of the following methods to start MPTS:
2 In the MPTS logo panel, click OK.
The MPTS window appears.
3 Insert TokenDisk diskette #2 in the floppy drive.
4 In the MPTS window, select Install. At the prompt
for the source of the .NIF file, type the following
path and click OK:
a:\ndis\os2
5 When the Installation Complete for PCI Token Ring
Adapter message appears, click OK.
The MPTS dialog box appears.
6 Select Configure.
The Configure panel appears.
7 Verify that the LAN adapters and protocols radio
button is selected, and click Configure.
8 From the Network Adapters list box, select
3C339 TokenLink Velocity Adapter and click Add.
You can edit parameter settings by selecting
3C339 TokenLink Velocity Adapter and clicking Edit.
9 In the Protocols list box, select each protocol used
by your network application and click Add.
The protocol drivers appear under the NIC driver name in
the Current Configuration list box. You can edit protocol
parameter settings by selecting a protocol and clicking Edit.
From the OS/2 desktop, double-click the MPTS icon.
From an OS/2 window, go to the \IBMCOM
subdirectory and at the OS/2 prompt enter:
mpts
