Supplementary Procedures
This section contains supplementary procedures for
accessing DOS and for finding the NIC's port address.
Use these procedures only when other procedures in this
guide tell you to do so.
Starting DOS
The AutoLink installation program and the 3TLVDIAG
configuration and diagnostic program are DOS
applications that must be run with no drivers or memory
managers installed. They require that you boot from DOS
without running the AUTOEXEC.BAT or CONFIG.SYS
files. The programs do not run in Windows NT or
Windows 95 DOS windows. If you are using an operating
system other than DOS, use the appropriate procedure in
Table 3-2 to start DOS before running the AutoLink
program or 3TLVDIAG.
