5 In the Select Network Adapter dialog box, click
Have Disk.
The Insert Disk dialog box appears.
6 Insert TokenDisk diskette #2 in the floppy drive.
7 Type the following path and click OK:
a:\winnt
The Select OEM Option dialog box appears.
8 Select 3Com TokenLink Velocity PCI Adapter and
click OK.
The 3Com TokenLink Velocity PCI Adapter Bus dialog
box appears.
9 Select bus type PCI and bus number 0 and click OK.
The 3Com TokenLink Adapter Setup dialog box appears.
10 Make any of the following adapter setup selections
and click OK:
PCI slot—Autodetect, Slot 1, Slot 2, or Slot 3. It is
recommended that you use the default setting,
Autodetect.
Network speed—4 or 16 Mbps. This selection must
match the network speed, or an error will remove the
NIC from the network.
Advanced—You can specify maximum packet size,
network address, and product ID. It is recommended
that you use the default settings.
11 Verify that 3Com TL 3C3X9 Adapter appears in the
list in the Network Adapters tab and click Close.
Bindings messages appear, followed by a prompt to
restart the computer.
12 Remove the TokenDisk diskette from the
floppy drive.
13 Click Yes to restart the computer.
This concludes the procedure for installing the driver for
Windows NT 4.0.
