Have no network drivers loaded before you run the
AutoLink program
You can use the AUTOLINK.CFG file to modify the
AutoLink process. The AUTOLINK.CFG file in the root
directory of TokenDisk diskette #1 contains default
settings and descriptions of other control parameters.

Running the AutoLink Program

Follow these steps to run the AutoLink program:
1 Verify that no network drivers are loaded into RAM.
2 Verify that the computer is physically connected to
the network. (Refer to Chapter 2.)
3 Insert TokenDisk diskette #1 in the floppy drive and
make that the active drive.
4 At the DOS prompt enter:
autolink
A screen appears, prompting you to enter the ring speed.
5 Enter the ring speed.
Ring speed may be 4 or 16; 16 is the default. Be sure the
number you enter matches the network's ring speed. If
the numbers do not match, an error removes the NIC
from the network.
Auto installation may take a few moments. Several
messages appear while the AutoLink program is running.
A final message indicating successful installation appears.
6 When the auto installation process is finished,
remove the diskette and reboot the computer.
A DOS ODI client starts and connects the client
computer to a NetWare server.
This concludes the procedure for installing the driver for
one NIC in a NetWare DOS ODI client.
