About this Document

Install notes
Before you begin with the installation of the applications card:
• Check that the delivery is complete and undamaged. Notify your supplier
immediately of any defects; do not install or put into operation any compo-
nents that may be faulty.
• Check that you have all the relevant user documents at your disposal.
• During the installation follow the installation instructions for your MiVoice
Office 400 product and observe to the letter the safety warnings they con-
tain.
Operation notes
Switching on and off the applications card is similar to starting a computer,
and may take a while. The On/Off push button LED turns green after the boot-
ing process.
Warning:
Do not switch off a communication server with a built in applications
card by interrupting the power supply.
Security precautions on the IP network
As per default, the Windows firewall is switched on and the integrated security
software Windows Defender is switched off.
If you wish to add additional security to your applications card, you may inte-
grate it in your IT security concept and use external security devices like fire-
walls. However, Mitel declines any liability for any negative impact caused by
security devices like anti virus programs.
Make sure you exclude the path
when you activate Windows Defender or another anti virus program.
