Connecting the breathing hoses
1 Connect the breathing hoses (A) to the
inspiratory port and expiratory port of the
compact breathing system. Connect them with
the Y-piece (B).
Connecting the filter (option)
1 Attach the HME filter or filter (not shown) to the
nozzle of the Y-piece (B) or to the inspiratory
port and expiratory port.
Connecting the breathing bag
1 Connect the breathing bag (C) with the
connection nozzle to the breathing hose. Attach
the breathing hose to the angled nozzle. Attach
the breathing bag to the bag holder so that it
hangs down.
Or
Connect the breathing bag to the breathing bag
arm (option), see page 29.

Connecting the sample line
1 Connect the sample line (D) to the connector of
the Y-piece and to the connector of the water
trap (E) on the patient-gas measurement
module.
Checking the operational readiness
Prerequisites:
– The device has been assembled and prepared
so that it is ready for operation.

instructions for use, chapter "Getting started".
