Assembling the inspiratory valve and the
expiratory valve

Inspiratory valve:
1 Screw off the union nut (A).
2 Remove the dome (B).
3 Insert the valve plate (C) into the valve crater
(D).
4 Refit the dome (B) and screw on the union nut
(A).
5 Insert the valve cover plug (F) or the O
into the dome (B) of the inspiratory valve.
Expiratory valve:
6 Screw off the union nut (F).
7 Remove the sight glass (G).
8 Insert the valve plate (H) into the valve crater (I).
9 Refit the sight glass (G) and screw on the union
nut (F).

1 Completely pull out the locking pin (A) and hold
it in that position.
2 Insert the compact breathing system in the
provided holder (B).
3 Release the locking pin again and turn the
compact breathing system until the locking pin
engages.
4 Fit the compact breathing system cover (option,
not shown).

Installing the flow sensor
WARNING
Risk of fire
Residual vapors of easily flammable disinfec-
tants (e.g., alcohols) and deposits that were
not removed during reprocessing can ignite
when the flow sensor is in use.
– Ensure particle-free cleaning and disinfec-
tion.
– After disinfection, allow the flow sensor to
air for at least 30 minutes.
– Before inserting the flow sensor check for
visible damage and soiling, such as resid-
ual mucus, medication aerosols, and parti-
cles.
– Replace flow sensors when damaged,
soiled, or not particlefree.
