Fitting the CLIC adapter (option)
1 Screw the CLIC adapter (A) onto the bottom
side of the compact breathing system in the
direction of the arrow.

2 Check the correct alignment of the CLIC
adapter (A). Make sure that the release button
(B) is visible and facing towards the user
(forwards).
Fitting the CO absorber

1 Fit the CO absorber:

– Reusable absorber
WARNING
Risk of deviations in the gas composition as a
result of leakages
Soda lime residue between the seals and the
seal surfaces or an incorrectly fitted CO
sorber can cause system leakages.
– Make sure that no soda lime residues are
between the seals and the seal surfaces.
– Make sure that the CO

system.
– Make sure that the inner seal to the CO2
absorber is present on the compact
breathing system.

CLIC absorber (disposable absorber)
WARNING
Risk of insufficient ventilation
If the CLIC absorber is not correctly locked
into place, system leakage may occur. The
CLIC absorber must audibly engage before
Fabius is switched on. This ensures that the
CLIC absorber is included in the leakage test
and compliance test of the device.
After mounting and replacing, always make
sure the CLIC absorber is firmly locked into
place.
1 To loosen up the soda lime, shake the
disposable absorber before inserting it, e.g., by
inverting it several times.
2 Remove the seal from the new disposable
absorber.
3 Press the release button (A) on the CLIC
adapter. The holder (B) flips open.
4 Push the new disposable absorber (C) into the
holder as far as possible. Swivel the holder
back until it snaps audibly into place in the CLIC
adapter.
