Questions About the TiVo Service
Will my DVR still work without any TiVo service?

TiVo service is required for proper operation of your Digital Media Server. Without TiVo service, your DVR will have extremely
limited functionality. The DVR was designed to be used exclusively with at least one level of TiVo service (such as TiVo Basic or
TiVo Plus). TiVo service is required for proper operation of the DVR. No functionality is represented, warranted, or should be
expected without TiVo service. TiVo service provides the DVR with program information to record the programs you request. TiVo
service may also provide you with new Showcases and TiVolution Magazine.

TiVo subscribers automatically receive service updates. Details about recent service updates are available at www.tivo.com/update.

What is TiVo Basic service?

TiVo Basic service allows you to control live TV (pause, fast forward, instant replay), and record programs to Now Playing from a
specific channel at a specific time (much like a VCR). It also includes an on-screen interactive program guide that provides
information on your favorite shows. In addition, Showcases and TiVolution Magazine help you get more out of your TV time.
What is TiVo Plus service?

With TiVo Plus service, you can enjoy the benefits of smart, automatic-recording technology. TiVo Plus brings you features such as:
Season Pass recordings. Automatically record every episode of your favorite series, all season long, even if the schedule
