Recording
The DVR offers you four levels of Video Recording Quality. The choice you make on this
screen is used each time you schedule a recording.
The recording quality choices available are Best, High (SP), Medium (LP), and Basic
(EP). The default is Best. Basic (EP) quality takes up about one-third the space of Best
quality, so it gives you about three times the amount of space for programs. You may wish
to experiment with different levels and then reset your default.

The DVR automatically uses Best Quality when displaying and recording live TV.
However, when it records a scheduled program via the To Do List, the DVR uses the
Video Recording Quality you specified as a default in this setting. If that quality is not
Best, you may notice the difference when recording starts.
