Cutting Unit(s) Lower or Raise Too Quickly
Cause

Missing or improperly installed cylinder port orifice.

Steering Loss

Cause

Steering linkage or cylinder pivots damaged, worn,
or binding.

Low steering pressure - TEST NO. 6.

Steering control unit faulty.
NOTE: Steering loss after washing machine can be the result of "thermal shock". Normal functions will return after
steering control unit temperature stabilizes. To prevent damage to steering control unit, DO NOT attempt to turn
steering wheel until temperature stabilizes when thermal shock is noted.
Troubleshooting
Correction
Properly install orifice between fitting and lift port of
hydraulic lift cylinder(s). NOTE: Orifice must be in­
stalled at least 10 - 12 revolutions to avoid interfer­
ence with adapter fitting.
Correction
Lubricate bushings. Inspect for damage. Repair or re­
place damaged parts.
Check for restriction in pump intake line or strainer
and repair if necessary.
Check steering cylinder for internal leakage and re­
pair or replace if necessary.
Clean relief valve in steering pump and adjust or re­
place if necessary.
Inspect steering/lift pump for wear or damage and re ­
pair or replace if necessary.
Repair or replace steering control unit.
