Traction Response Is Sluggish
Cause

Brakes dragging.

Charge pressure low - TEST NO. 8.
NOTE: Counterbalance pressure will also be
affected.

Pump or motor damaged.
Machine Will Not Travel In Either Direction
Cause
___________________________________________________________________________________________
Front axle shift lever in neutral (middle) position.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Damaged front axle or rear 4wd axle.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Brakes engaged.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Hydraulic oil level too low.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Control linkage damaged or out of adjustment.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Correction
Inspect brakes and adjust or repair if necessary.
Inspect charge relief valve and adjust or repair if nec-
essary.
Inspect auxiliary pump and repair or replace if
necessary NOTE: Steering and lift will also be af­
fected if auxiliary pump is damaged.
Inspect and repair or replace traction pump or motor
if necessary.
Correction
Move shift lever to engage transmission.
Repair axle.
Inspect brakes and adjust or repair if necessary.
Fill to proper level.
Repair control linkage.
Inspect charge relief valve and adjust or repair if nec-
essary.
Inspect auxiliary pump and repair or replace if neces­
sary NOTE: Steering and lift will also be affected if
auxiliary pump is damaged.
Inspect traction pump check/relief valves and repair
or replace if necessary.
Check for damaged pump or motor(s) and repair or
replace if necessary.
