Continue the configuration process by configuring the system
information as described in the next section.
In the left pane, under System Menu, click System Configuration.
In the System Information section of the right pane, enter the REO
Name.
Enter up to 16 characters to name the REO Appliance. You can use
letters or a mixture of letters and numbers, and you can also use hyphens
(-). Overland recommends that you change this name (the default is
REO), especially if you use multiple appliances in your network.
If you want to make the VTL Manager page the first page that appears
when you launch the REO GUI, select the VTL Manager option.
Click Apply.
Continue the configuration process by entering the logon information
described in the next section.
Using the Logon Information section, you can change your logon name
and password, which Overland recommends that you do during the
initial configuration process. If you choose to keep Administrator as your
logon name, Overland strongly recommends that you change the
password to protect your network from unauthorized users.
In the right pane, scroll down below the System Information section to
locate the Logon Information section, and enter the following in case-
sensitive format:
User Name. (required) Enter a new logon name using up to 30
alphanumeric characters. You can use a combination of alphabetic and
numeric characters, or you can use only alphabetic characters.
Note:
Although the GUI allows you to enter and apply a name that uses
only numbers, the change does not stick. When you log on to the GUI
using the new name, an error message appears; you must enter the
original name to log on.
Password. (optional) Enter a new password using up to 30
alphanumeric characters (do not use spaces or Ctrl-key characters).
Retype Password. Enter the password again.
