Troubleshooting

Does Not Detect Wired-HART Sub-Devices

1. Verify the VECTOR V1100 wiring for the mode of operation in use.
2. Verify HART communication with the VECTOR V1100 with a HART Communicator or PC with
HART modem. Once this is working, without moving the HART connections on the modem,
verify HART operation with the HART sub-device.
If the HART Communicator is able to communicate with both the sub-device and the VECTOR
V1100, the VECTOR V1100 should be able to communicate with the sub-device.

Cannot Connect to the Wireless HART Network

Check the wireless HART gateway for the correct Network ID and Network Join Keys.
Using the VECTOR V1100 HART DD, both of these settings are entered in with a decimal format. It
is possible that either of these settings are shown in a hexadecimal format on the wireless HART
gateway. If so, convert these values into a decimal format before entering them into the VECTOR
V1100.

Resetting the VECTOR V1100

Soft Reset – Via DD
Through the DD, a reset command can be performed.
Soft Reset – Via Power connections
1. Disconnect all power sources to the VECTOR V1100 for five seconds.
2. Reapply power and the VECTOR V1100 resets.
