Field Wiring

The following table described the lead wire, and function of the lead wires exiting the VECTOR
V1100 NPT port.
Wire Color
Green / Yellow
Black
Red
White
Yellow
External Ground Screw
Lead Wire Functional Description
DIRECT POWER connections are between the black lead wire tied to the (+) positive source
terminal and RETURN the white lead wire to the (-) negative source terminal.
LOOP POWER connections are between the red lead wire tied to the (+) positive current loop
source terminal and RETURN the white lead wire tied to the (-) negative current loop terminal.
HART connections are between the yellow lead wire and the RETURN white lead wire. The
VECTOR V1100 HART connections are polarity independent.
Conduit Entry
The VECTOR V1100 ½" male NPT port allows direct connection into a spare field device
enclosure port or a junction box. The VECTOR V1100 ½" NPT accepts adapters to interface into
other entry thread types; such as, M20.

Terminate unused lead wires as required by national, regional and

local electrical codes and practices.
To reduce the potential of aluminum galling, apply an electrically

conductive thread lubricant to the NPT threads prior to assembly.
