Basic Operation
The VECTOR V1100 wireless HART Adapter allows new and existing wired-HART devices to be
integrated into a wireless HART network. This allows remote access to diagnostic data, digital
process variables, and alarm data stored inside HART devices.
The VECTOR V1100 has both a wireless interface to communicate with the wireless HART
network and a wired-HART interface to communicate to a traditional 4-20mA current loop
device. The VECTOR V1100 communicates as a wired-HART master to connected HART
devices on the loop, and can transmit and receive HART data from these connected HART
devices to the wireless HART network. The VECTOR V1100 also supports configuration as a
wired-HART slave device, so traditional HART configuration tools (such as HART Field
Communicators and PCs with HART modems) can be used to configure the VECTOR V1100.
