Step 7: Providing Power to the Router

Connect AC Power

Depending on your configuration, the M320 router uses either AC or DC power supplies.

Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist and connect

Switch the circuit breaker on the power supply faceplate to the off position (

Wrap the cable restraint around the power cord. Tighten the cable restraint retainer

Ensure the grounding cable is attached to a proper earth ground and to the chassis.

Secure the power cable lugs to the terminal studs for each power supply, first with

the locking washers, then with the nuts (see
27 lb-in. (3.05 Nm) and 33 lb-in (3.73 Nm) of torque to each nut.

Make sure the cables are not touching or in the way of any router components (see

25). Route the positive and negative DC power cables through the
top and bottom of the cable restraint. Tighten the cable restraint retainer screw to
hold the power cord in place.
Replace the clear plastic cover over the terminal studs on the faceplate.
