Diode test
Connect the black measuring wire to the
„COM" connector and the red one to the „VHz"
connector.
Set the rotating switch to „Ω / -|(-" mode.
Disconnect the measured circuit's power
source before measuring.
Press the mode selection button (top left) and
select the Diode/Continuity mode. The diode
sign
appears on the screen. By pressing
the button again you can switch to continuity
measuring.
Connect the red wire to the diode's anode, and
the black one to the cathode. The opening
voltage of the diode is displayed on the screen
(for a normal diode this is 0,4V-0,7V). If you
accidentally switched the polarity, the display
will show „OL". In case of a short circuit the
displayed value will be around 0mV.
Continuity measuring
Connect the black wire to the „COM" connector
and the red one to the „Ω
Set the rotating switch to the „Ω / -|(-" mode.
Press the mode selection button and select the
diode/continuity mode. The sign for continuity
will appear on the screen. If in this mode
the resistance of the circuit is below 30Ω, the
device will beep.
Capacity measuring
Connect the black measuring wire to the
„COM" connector, and the red one to the „VHz"
connector.
Connect the measuring wires to the measured
capacitor, pay attention to the polarity.
Disconnect the measured circuit's power
source before measuring, and discharge
capacitors. The range for capacity
measurement is selected automatically.
Frequency measuring
Connect the black measuring wire to the
„COM" connector, and the red one to the „VHz"
connector.
Rotate the function selection button to the
„Hz/%" position.
Connect the device to the circuit serially and

" connector.
Measuring with a RS-232 PC unit
Note:
Please read the „README" file on the included disc and
install the software on the computer accordingly.
Battery and fuse replacement
read the measured value from the screen.
By pressing the „Hz/%" the device switches to
duty cycle or frequency measuring mode.
Connect the black measuring wire to the
„COM" connector, and the red one to the „VHz"
connector.
Rotate the function selection button to the
„Hz/%" position.
Press the „Hz/%" button to select duty cycle
measuring.
Connect the multimeter to the circuit. The
duty cycle value is displayed on the screen.
Set the function switch to °C °F position.
Connect the K type measuring sensor to the
multimeter. The red part (+) goes to the „μA
mA" (TEMP) connector, and the black (-) to the
„COM" connector.
Touch the sensor to the measured object or
place it in the measured environment.
Read the temperature from the screen.
Connect the RS-232 cable into the
multimeter's connector and connect it with
the PC's serial port.
Press the RS232 button on the multimeter so
the „RS232" sign appears on the screen.
The computer shows the multimeter's actual
measured result.
In case the battery sign appears on the screen,
the battery needs to be replaced. Unscrew the
back lid and open the battery container. (a 9V
battery is needed).
The fuse should usually be replaced as an
effect of an incorrect usage by the user. Open
the fuse container and replace the fuse to a
new one.
