This type of configuration is designed for organisations requiring to service and control multiple remote sites,
enabling the information contained on each site to be copied, stored and overwritten using the PC. The
stored information can also be modified using the off-line programming facility, enabling Galaxy sites to be
programmed and stored on the PC in advance of commissioning the control panel.

On-Site Servicing and Monitoring (single Galaxy control panel)

Galaxy Gold/Security Directors Gold connects and services a single, locally situated Galaxy control panel.
Event Monitoring can also be used to directly monitor the events of a single, locally situated Galaxy control
panel. The event information is transferred via the onboard RS232 interface (only available on the Galaxy 3-
144/3-520 control panels) or the Galaxy RS232 Interface Module that connects the panel to the PC.
This allows the servicing, controlling and monitoring of the site by security guards or other authorised
personnel and is typically suited to large sites with several departments or areas.
Note: The maximum length of the RS232 serial interface cable is 15 metres.
