3.2 Failure Countermeasures

This section describes the countermeasures for a failure occurring in a part of the equipment that
configures the network while the simple ISW (LAN) function is used.
When there are two radars that can control a scanner, the simple ISW (LAN) function allows the
use of one radar as a master radar and the display unit of the other radar as a slave for the master
radar.
At the failure of a master radar, the display unit on the slave side is able to reset own scanner to
an independently operable state any time through manual operation.
* This is restricted only to the case where a scanner is directly connected to the display unit on
the slave side. The display unit itself on the slave side must not have any fault.
Memo
When network communication shutdown is detected, the display unit on the slave side
automatically resets the scanner that is directly connected to the display unit to an
independently operable state.
The following section describes the procedure for resetting a scanner of a display unit in the slave
status to an independently operable state.
3.2.1 Procedure for resetting to an independently operable state 1
1
When the display unit is in the [Transmit] mode, set it to the [Standby] mode by
pressing the [Transmit/Standby] button.
The Interswitch button cannot be used in [Transmit] mode.
Set the display unit to a [Standby] mode.
2
Change the mode of own display unit from a slave status to a master status by
pressing the Interswitch button on the screen.
Transmission becomes available after completion of scanner preheat.
When the mode of the display unit cannot be changed to a master status, the following
checkbox may be set to OFF.
[Menu] button → [Settings] → [Simple ISW (LAN)] → [Own Scanner] checkbox
After setting the checkbox to ON, change the mode of the display unit to a master status by
using the Interswitch button.
