Automatic Disengagement
Automatic Autopilot disengagement may occur due to:
» System failure (e.g., loss of ADC and GPS).
» Invalid sensor data (e.g., sensor mis-compare or non-compare).
NOTE: During system startup if the Autopilot is engaged (though not typical), the
MFI will automatically disengage the Autopilot when the sensors initiate alignment.
NOTE: In the event of an in-flight restart, the Autopilot may disengage.
Discrete Configurations
The MFI can be configured to have airspeed discrete inputs tied to Autopilot. Activation
of a discrete may be configured to automatically disengage the Autopilot given your external
hardware.
