DISPLAYING TERRAIN DATA

Terrain and obstacle information can be displayed on the 'Map' Page and the 'HSI Map' Page.
When terrain and/or obstacle data is overlaid on maps, an icon is displayed for each type of
feature enabled for display depending on the current range setting. For more information on
terrain overlay options on map pages, and which unit configurations offer map pages, see the
Map Options discussion in the Navigation Section.
If configured as a Standby ADI or an MFD, the 'Terrain' Page will be available. The 'Terrain'
Page is the principal map page for viewing terrain and obstacle information relative to the
aircraft current GSL altitude. Map orientation on this page is always heading up unless there
is no valid heading, in which case the orientation is track up. A legend is available for display.
Additionally, active flight plan information may be overlaid on the 'Terrain' Page.
Terrain data may be displayed in 360° View or Arc View. The 'Terrain' Page has seven range
settings available between 1 and 100 NM. The current range is indicated on the Range Button.
Range may be changed by zooming in and out using the Inner Knob.
