After the upper section has been set to its final elevation and
slope, it is important to note the following:
• Cobble stone / pavers installation
In the case that the upper section and cover will be installed
in a stone / paver surface, it is important that the top of the
upper section is installed approx 2 cm higher than that of the
pavers. When the cobble stones are compacted the upper
section (with the cast iron manhole cover installed and bol-
ted tight) should also be compacted until it is level with the
surrounding stones
• Installation in traffic areas
In the case that the upper section and cover will be installed
in a surface which is to handle Class D (40.0 metric ton load
classes), a 18cm thick, 2m x 2m B25 concrete load distribu-

• Others
In some instances it may be required that the lower section
of the upper section (in which the cast iron manhole is in-
stalled) be sawed off in order to obtain the correct installati-
on depth. This cut should be made as evenly as possible and
any remaining loose edges should be filed away (deburring).
The included manhole cover removal key as well as the
User´s Manual for the pumping system should be stored in
a protected dry area in the vicinity of the control unit.
