4 Connections

4.1 Connection Concept

Use CAT5e or better quality Ethernet cables, router / switch to construct your Ethernet network.
For the initial startup and setup, users may need a PC/ laptop and Ethernet cable to connect to
the EonStor GSe Pro and enter its' Web User Interface to setup specific settings. Users can
trunk (blue circle) Ethernet ports 0 and 1 or 2 and 3 to boost bandwidth if they choose to. Users
can also create pools
and folders
to share over the network. Please refer
to the EonStor GSe Pro Software Manual for detail configuration settings.
The local area network (LAN) PC connections are limited to number of connection ports on the
switch/ router for physical connections and is limited to IPs (2~254) for wireless networks.
The number of allowed remote connections can be configured by the user (please refer to your
switch/ router device manuals) or the EonStor GSe Pro Software Manual.
