Installing the electronic knob cylinder C100 V3
Attention!
The electronic knob cylinder C100 V3 must be installed in the appropriate
size: The electronic knob cylinder C100 V3 is manufactured in several cylinder
lengths. Before installation, make sure that the electronic knob cylinder C100 V3 is
in the size matching the door leaf thickness. The cylinder may not protrude more
than 3 mm on other side.
Installation and adjustments according to EN 15684: All components must be
installed and adjusted in a manner which ensures conformity with EN 15684.
Do not touch any of the internal components: There are components and elec-
tronics around the battery compartment which can be damaged when improper-
ly handled. The electronics can be destroyed due to electrostatic discharge. These
internal components may not be touched.
The connecting cable (flexible connector) must not be kinked: With installa-
tion of the half-cylinder with removable knob, it must be ensured that the con-
necting cable (flexible connector) is not pinched or kinked during installation.
The flexible connector mount can break off: The mount for the flexible connec-
tor is locked in the condition as supplied. It must be pulled out using the hook of
the 'V3 Connector Tool' (Pic. 10, page 78). Then the mount is unlocked.
After installation, the flexible connector must be inserted in the mount and the
mount must be pushed back towards the battery compartment with the fork of
the 'V3 Connector Tool' (Pic. 10, page 78). Then the mount is locked.
If the appropriate procedure is not followed, the flex connector can break off.
