Installing the lock

Prevent the door from closing accidentally: In the case of products with the suffix SV, the lock automati-
cally locks a closed door and can then only be unlocked again using the locking cylinder.
· Install a locking cylinder before closing the door with the lock installed.

Screw the lock into the lock recess.

Attach the lock fittings.

Check that the lock can be operated easily.
 The lock is ready to use once the strike plate is assembled.

Installing the strike plate

The strike plate must be installed in the door frame in such a way that the lock latch and trip latch can
slide over a flat surface ("Profiles with thermal separation", page 52). The trip latch must remain
depressed throughout this movement ("Self-locking function", page 43).

Create the strike plate recess and all drill holes.

Clean the strike plate recess and all drill holes by blowing out or vacuuming.

Screw the strike plate that matches the lock being installed into place.

Check that the lock can be operated easily.
 The lock is ready for operation.

Installing the fittings and locking cylinder

Install the fittings.

Insert the locking cylinder always ensuring that the locking cylinder lever is centred.

Fix the locking cylinder in place using the cylinder screw.
 The lock is now fully assembled.

The length of locking cylinder to be used is calculated from the door
leaf thickness and the door plate thicknesses (fittings) on the inside
and outside.
The key withdrawal position of the locking lever must not exceed 30°
below to the left and right.
