9.3. Storing the Wheelchair

Apply the parking brakes.
(2)
Turn off the power and remove the battery.
Refer to "5.2. Removing the Battery" (pages 39 to 40).

Store the wheelchair normal temperature indoors where
there is less humidity.
(4)
To wipe off dirt or spots before storing, use a tightly
wrung-out towel.

● Be sure to remove the battery when not in use, so that its power will not turn on
unexpectedly in storage.
● Be sure to store the disconnected battery with the pro-
tective cap on it. Exposed contacts can cause short cir-
cuits and lead to a fire or battery rupture.
When storing the battery for a long period of time, see sections below, and observe

the cautionary notes.
• For the nickel metal hydride battery
• For the lithium ion battery
