In the Hardware menu/Emulation Options dialog/Probe tab the Active Probe option must be
selected. Click Refresh and select the displayed AP Aurora MPC.
The lowest Aurora link speed which ensures the most likely working trace operation is set by
default. Note that this setting directly impacts on Aurora trace interface bandwidth. The higher
the speed, more trace information per time unit can be broadcasted over the interface. Hence,
once the Analyzer trace operation (e.g. trace or profiler or coverage) is confirmed with the
default setting, higher Aurora link speeds should be tested, and the highest operational speed
then selected for usage. This way the Active Probe will be configured for maximum possible
Analyzer session time. Different speeds (625 Mbps, 1Gbps. 2.5Gbps, 5Gbps) are available.
Other, more general PowerPC related settings are described within winIDEA on-line help.
