Troubleshooting
This chapter helps you to solve problems that may occur in connections with commissioning or
operating your Power Hub.
Note!
First Checks in Case of Problems
In case a fault occurs, first ensure that the field wiring is complete, properly terminated, and that
all field spurs are properly attached. Also check if the gateway module(s) and the power
modules are properly plugged into the connection slots of the respective motherboards.

Faults Indicated via LEDs
Symptom
LED "PWR" is off
LED "DP/ERR" is flashing red
LED "DP/ERR" lights up
constantly red
LED "Red." (Redundancy) is
flashing yellow
LED "Red." is off
Possible cause
No power.

Gateway defective.
■
No data transmission on

DP side.
Master problem.

Gateway defective.
■
Hardware error.
Redundancy not available.
Reasons:
Synchronization in

progress.
Second gateway module is

missing on a redundant
board.
Backup gateway is

defective.
Gateway module is

plugged into simplex
motherboard.
Only 1 gateway module is

plugged into redundant
motherboard.
Redundant board is used

and LED "Red." lights up
constantly yellow at
primary gateway.
Remedy
Check power supply.
■
Restart gateway.
■
If problem persists, send
gateway to Pepperl+Fuchs.
Check cables.
■
Check termination.
■
Check master.
■
Restart gateway.
■
If problem persists, send
gateway to Pepperl+Fuchs.
Restart gateway.
If problem persists, send
gateway to Pepperl+Fuchs.
Not a fault. Wait a few

Plug in second gateway
