Indicator light 1 comes on if a
vehicle is detected in the blind
spot on the left.
Indicator lights 1 and 2 flash
simultaneously, if a vehicle is
detected in the blind spot on
z
the left and the left indicator is
switched on.
Indicator light 3 comes on if a
vehicle is detected in the blind
spot on the right.
Indicator lights 3 and 4 flash
simultaneously if a vehicle is
detected in the blind spot on
the right and the right indicator
is switched on.
Pre-Ride-Check
The instrument cluster runs a
test of the indicator lights 1
and 3 when the ignition is
switched on. In the process, the
indicator lights come on briefly.

Communication fault
NOTICE
The indicator lights 1 and 3 flash
rapidly if there is no communic-
ation between instrument cluster
and the SVA control unit.
It is possible to continue the jour-
ney taking the failed SVA func-
tion into consideration.
Have the fault rectified by a
specialist workshop, preferably
an authorised BMW Motorrad
Retailer.
