5.4.2 Adjustments of the splitting device

The device must also be cleaned and lubricated from the inside in order to ensure the operation of the
moving components. Open the cover plate and clean the groove and guides of the pusher from any
impurities. Always stop the machine and disconnect it from the power source before conducting the
adjustment.

B. Trigger bar
C. Splitting control lever
D. Splitting adjustment pin
E. Valve's centring safety cylinder
F. Inner end stop of the splitting mechanism
G. Valve turner
H. End stop of the valve turner
The splitting control lever (C) affects the trigger bar (B), which turns the valve to the splitting/reverse
position.
The outer end stop of the splitting mechanism (A) determines the length of the stroke. The inner end stop
(F) determines the neutral position of the pusher.
The purpose of the valve turner (H) is to stop the trigger bar motion so that the splitting valve is not
exposed to extra stress caused by the triggering mechanism.
The splitting device has been adjusted and tested at the factory. The device maintains the adjustments
very well, so retroactive adjustments are usually not required.
IF THE CYLINDER BOTTOMS IN THE IN OR OUT POSITION, THE CYLINDER NORMALLY REMAINS
AT THE END IN QUESTION AND THE RELIEF VALVE RELEASES THE PRESSURE.
BEWARE OF THE MOVING PARTS OF THE MACHINE IF YOU NEED TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS TO
THE SPLITTING DEVICE.
