4. Accessories

Various accessories can be connected to Japa 485 firewood processors to increase working efficiency.

4.1 Splitting knives

The firewood processor can also be equipped with a knife that splits the log into multiple pieces.
Instructions for replacing a splitting knife are provided in section 3.8.

4.2 Dust extractor

The dust extractor is connected to the attachment part placed on top of the dust removal opening. You can
obtain an electric dust extractor (220 V) or a hydraulic one. The electric dust extractor is connected to the
machine's mains power socket, while the power for the hydraulic dust extractor is supplied by the conveyor
hydraulics (see section 2.7).

4.3 Hydraulic timber deck

The hydraulic timber deck is perfect for big logs and large quantities of timber. The hydraulic timber deck
features three feed chains, and the logs are moved onto the input table one at a time with a special-
purpose feed mechanism.
We recommend the hydraulic timber deck as an accessory for the Japa 485 firewood processor. Lifting
logs directly onto the machine's input conveyor using a loader is prohibited.
