7.17 Changing Speed Potentiometer

Changing the speed potentiometer assumes the
pedal plate has been loosened, if this has not been
done, follow "7.13".

Dismantle the two bolts and nuts, and lift away the
attachment plates for the potentiometer and the
switches.
Lift away the recoil spring.

Lift away the drive disc to access the hex screws.

Brace and then loosen the nuts holding the
potentiometer.
Assemble in reverse order.
Make sure the drive disc does not stick after
tightening.
Calibration may be necessary after changing, see
7.17.
