During this trouble shooting we assume that
+5 V is OK.

11.3.1 Test of Switch for Forward Pedal

When the driver depresses the pedal, +5 V is fed
to the green lead. If CCU cannot read this input
signal during the test, the switch may be defective.
Measure with a voltmeter to check that there is
+5 V on the green lead on the microswitch pin. If it
is OK, check that the signal passes the transition
connector in the four-pole connector on the pedal
plate (NB. Green lead into the connector becomes
white out of the connector). NB. Measure the side
with the white lead to be sure that the signal is
passing the connector. The white lead then goes
directly to CCU D3. If there is no voltage on this
pin when the switch is activated but there is volt-
age on the white lead after the four-pole connec-
tor, there should be a break in the white lead from
the connector on the pedal plate up to the input
on CCU D3. Unplug connector D from CCU and
measure from pin 3 to the white lead down by the
connector on the pedal plate. It should be approxi-
mately 0 ohm between these pins if it is OK.
