7. Push the stage back once the cleaning procedure is completed.
8. Use the rubber dust blower pump to blow off dust from the surface of the granite slab.
To remove any other contamination, it is recommended to use the short bristle cleaning
brush, or if there is still some dirt remaining on the surface, apply Isopropanol on a piece of
lint-free cotton cloth and gently clean the surface.
9. Clean the objective lenses with the optical brush. Only the 40× (1.2 NA) objective is needed
to be cleaned with the optical cleaning tissue, after every process during which immersion
scanning was performed.
10. Close the service door if finished.

5.3.3 Cleaning the condenser

Tools you will need:
Optical cleaning tissue
Dust blower with extension
Follow these steps to clean the condenser:
1. Open service door (refer to section 5.1 Opening the service door).
2. Gently move the slide stage (1) into the middle above the condenser (2).
3. Use the rubber dust blower pump to blow off dust from the glass surface of the condenser. If
there is still some dirt remaining on the surface of the condenser, use the optical cleaning
tissue for cleaning.
