Pannoramic 1000 3.0.2 – User's Guide

5 Cleaning and Maintenance

Throughout the entire life cycle of the Scanner, some of its components must be periodically
inspected, serviced or replaced in order to maintain proper operation and ensure image quality. This
chapter describes the most common cleaning and maintenance solutions that can be performed by
the user of the product.
If during the operation a possible defect or malfunction of the Scanner
is suspected, the user must immediately contact 3DHISTECH Support
for service, and the Scanner must be switched off and cannot be
further operated.
The Scanner can only be used further once the Service technician
eliminated the problem, or has performed the necessary repair,
otherwise, using the Scanner although it has not been repaired or
checked may lead to misdiagnosis or mistreatment.
The servicing and service maintenance of the Scanner must be
performed by qualified and trained Service Technicians only (and NOT
by the user).
Routine cleaning tasks and maintenance of the Scanner are necessary
within specified intervals, but are obligatory if the control software
instructs you to do so. These tasks are simple, but can be performed by
trained users only.

5.1 Opening the service door

The service door can only be opened if the scanner is powered off.
1. Before opening the service door, exit control software of the scanner, turn off the scanner,
then pull the mains plug from the connector.
2. The service door at the left of the scanner can now be opened manually.
