O REMOVE THE HARD DISK DRIVE
To ensure that you do not damage the hard disk drive, follow all electrostatic discharge and
hard disk drive precautions (see
1 Remove the imagePASS from the copier (see
As part of this step, you must disconnect the power cable. Do not proceed until you have
done so.
2 Open the imagePASS (see
3 Remove the 3 screws on the outside of the imagePASS that connect the hard disk drive to the
chassis. Lift the hard disk drive out of the chassis.
Set the screws aside so that you can replace them later.
4 Place the hard disk drive in an antistatic bag.

O INSTALL THE HARD DISK DRIVE
To ensure that you do not damage the hard disk drive, follow all electrostatic discharge and

1 Secure the hard disk drive to the chassis using the three screws that you removed earlier (see

2 Firmly connect the hard disk drive cable and the SATA power cable to the hard disk drive.
Do not use the 4-pin power cable.
