METHOD FOR BLEEDING AIR FROM CYLINDER
NOTICE
If the engine runs at high speed immediately after startup or a cylinder is pushed up to its stroke end,
air taken inside the cylinder may cause the piston packing to be damaged.
If air is bled while the cap of the oil filler port (F) of the hydraulic tank is kept closed, negative pressure
is generated inside the hydraulic tank, and it may adversely affect the piping.
1.
Open the dirt cover (1).
Open the dirt cover (1) fully and it will be secured by the
cover support lever (2).
2.
Loosen the cap of oil filler port (F) of the hydraulic tank
slowly to release the internal pressure.
3.
Start the engine.
4.
Turn the fuel control dial to Low idle (MIN) position (a).
5.
Move each cylinder to approximately 100 mm before the
stroke end, and repeat the operation 4 to 5 times.
Take care not to move the cylinder to the stroke end.
6.
Turn the fuel control dial to High idle (MAX) position (b).
7.
Move each cylinder to approximately 100 mm before the
stroke end, and repeat the operation 4 to 5 times.
Take care not to move the cylinder to the stroke end.
