MAINTENANCE
1.
Pull the engine rear cover (1) backward to open it.
Open the engine rear cover (1) fully and it is secured by
rod (2).
2.
Turn the handle (4) of the water separator (3) to CLOSE
position (S).
3.
Place a container under the drain hose of the water sepa-
rator (3) to catch the fuel.
4.
Loosen the drain plug (5), and drain the water until red ring
(6) touches the bottom of transparent cup (7).
5.
After draining the water, tighten the drain plug (5).
6.
Turn the transparent cup (7) counterclockwise by using the
filter wrench, and remove it.
Remove the transparent cup (7) without spilling the fuel.
If the fuel spills, wipe them off with cloth thoroughly.
Be careful not to lose the red ring (6) in transparent cup
(7).
7.
Remove the element (8) from the water separator (3).
8.
Clean the inside of transparent cup (7) and the element (8)
with the diesel fuel or flushing oil.
Replace the element with a new one if needed.
9.
After cleaning, install the element (8) and O-ring.
10. Insert the red ring (6) into transparent cup (7) and fill it with fuel.
11. Check the condition of O-ring installed to the transparent cup (7).
Replace the O-ring with a new one if needed.
12. Install the transparent cup (7) to the water separator (3) and tighten it clockwise by using the filter wrench.
Tightening torque: 14.7 to 19.6 Nm {1.5 to 2.0 kgm}
