EXPLANATION OF COMPONENTS
METHOD FOR CONNECTING QUICK RELEASE BATTERY TERMINAL (-)
• When connecting the quick release battery terminal (-), take care not to pinch your finger in the
clearance between the battery top face and the tip of plastic cover of the quick release battery ter-
minal (-).
• Connect the quick release battery terminal (-) so that the battery cables do not touch the cooling
cover.
If the battery cables touch the cooling cover, it may cause the defective contact, wire breakage, or
fire.

Pull the engine rear cover (1) backward to open it.
Open the engine rear cover (1) fully and it is secured by
rod (2).

Pull the cooling cover (3) backward to open it.
Open the cooling cover (3) fully, and it is secured by rod
(4).

Remove the nylon cover (5) to the engine side.
4.
Place the quick release battery terminal (-) (6) to the (-)
pole terminal (7) of battery as shown in the figure.
5.
Securely insert the quick release battery terminal (-) (6) in-
to the bottom of the (-) pole terminal (7) of battery.
Arrange the battery cable (8) so that it comes toward the
side of the battery (as a guide: angle (A) is approximately
40°) from the (-) pole terminal (7).
