Debris Filtering
Debris is removed periodically, as a maintenance-like action. At least once per month, a debris
removal tray should be used. This removal process may be repeated more than once each month,
if the user desires.
Basically, this process involves a tray that has a couple of filters. As the tray is lifted, the fluid
goes through the filter and the debris is removed. In more detail, these are the steps involved:
Recoater Module
The recoating system consists of the platform and platform supports, recoater blade, and elevator.
The Buildstation Control Software operates the recoating system as needed to build on the SLA
system.
Platform and Platform Supports
The platform supports hold the platform while it moves up and down during part building. The
platform is made of perforated stainless steel and has special locking slots to secure it to the
platform supports.
NOTE: Verify that the platform has been thoroughly cleaned and dried before placing the
platform into the platform support frame.
The platform support for the Viper Pro is a frame with two sliding clips on the front and two
locating points on the back. Install the platform onto the platform support assembly by making
sure that the back side of the platform engages the locating points on the platform support. Once
the platform has been installed properly, slide the clips over the recessed area on the front of the
platform to secure it. (xx: Figure 16 on page 34 of hardware manual?)
