use if they are, or if the appliance
has been dropped or damaged in
any other way.

been damaged, have the appliance
inspected and if necessary repaired
by an authorised repairer. Never
try to repair the appliance yourself.

bought the appliance for repairs
under the guarantee. Unauthorised
repairs or modifications to the
appliance will invalidate the
guarantee.

PRIOR TO FIRST USE

Before using for the first time (or after a
long period of storage), fill the appliance
with water and boil the water. Empty
and refill and boil again.
1. Fill the appliance up to the
maximum level ("MAX") shown
on the water level gauge (12) (the
appliance can hold a maximum of
1.2 litres).
2. Switch on as described under
"Using the Appliance". Allow the
water to boil.
3. Pour out the water once it has
boiled.
4. Repeat point 2 once more. The
appliance is now ready for use.

USING THE APPLIANCE

1. Open the lid (3) using the release
button (2).
2. Pour fresh water into the appliance.
Fill the appliance with water at least
to the minimum mark ("MIN") and
not exceeding the maximum mark
("MAX"). The marks are shown on
the water level gauge.
3. Close the lid and ensure that it
clicks into place.
4. Place the appliance on its base (10)
by positioning it so the connector (8)
on the base fits into the hole on the
underside of the appliance.
5. Connect the appliance by plugging
the plug (7) into the socket and
turning the power on.
