1. Press the START/STOP button to switch OFF the appliance. Then unplug the appli-
ance.
2. Clear the feed chute and remove the obstacle (see: 'Disassembling the Appli-
ance'). Ensure that the pulp outlet and the micro-mesh of the filter basket are not
clogged (see: ‚Removing Blockage').
3. Reassemble the appliance completely and correctly (see: ‚Assembling the Appli-
ance').
4. Finally plug in the power plug and turn the appliance on by pressing the START/
STOP button.

OVERLOAD PROTECTION BUTTON

The Design Juicer Professional is fitted with a safety device, which safeguards
against overloading with excessive loads. If this occurs, the juicer will automatically
actuate the overload protection button and the motor is switched off.
To reactivate the appliance:
1. Switch OFF the appliance (press the START/STOP button), then unplug the juicer
from the power outlet for at least 15 minutes to allow the motor to cool.
2. Put aside the juice jug and the pulp container.
3. Then carefully tilt the motor base to get access to the overload protection button
found on the bottom of the motor base.
4. Press the overload protection button. The overload protection will then be reset.
5. Place the pulp container and the juice jug back into position. The juicer is now
ready for use again.
IMPORTANT:
In case the overload protection button gets actuated straight away
again, see 'Solving Problems' and adhere to the hints, given in chapter 'Tips for
Best Results'.

SAFETY CONCEPT

For your protection, your new Design Juicer Professional is equipped with some safe-
ty features. The safety locking arm keeps the juicer cover in place during operation.
The safety interlocks assure that the motor will not operate unless the appliance is
assembled correctly (see: 'Assembling the Appliance').
Do not attempt to damage or by-pass the safety interlocks! Do not
IMPORTANT:
attempt to operate the appliance using others than the designated parts or using
parts that are damaged in any way. Only operate the motor base with the designa-
ted parts completely and correctly assembled.
