The GERBER EDGE displays a prompt to load the foil color cartridge.
If you selected a primer in the Composer program, the prompt is "Primer
Foil: (color)". If you selected Abrasion Guard in the Plot program, the
prompt is "Foil: Abrasion Guard." A sensor reads the label on the color
cartridge. If you load the wrong color cartridge, an error message is
displayed.
Be sure to remove and discard the core locks from a new color cartridge
prior to use.
You can estimate if you have enough foil on a cartridge to print a job by
looking through the viewing hole at the amount remaining on the
cartridge spool (as shown below).

To load the color cartridge
1. Press ONLINE on the keypad. The display shows:
Foil: (color)
2. If necessary, remove an installed color cartridge by sliding the left
top and bottom cartridge pins to the left and locking them. Slide the
left center cartridge pin to the left, lock it, and remove the cartridge
from the printhead assembly.
