Risk of injury due to damaged prosthetic components
1 Observe the alignment and assembly instructions
Caution!
Examine the parts for any damage or deformation before re-
using them Damaged tubes and tubes which have been in use
for more than 5 years must be replaced The year of manufacture
code is indicated on the tube (Fig 3)
The Length Adjustable Tube Adapter (2R45=S/2R45=34) has modular
connections and is ready for installation (distal = pyramid receiver with
set screw, proximal = 2R45=S: 30mm tube/2R45=34: 34-mm tube) The
instructions for static alignment according to instructions for use for the
specific components should be taken into consideration It is advisable
to set the central vertical scaling line centrically in the tube adapter slot
during the static alignment
Alignment is optimized during trial fitting by making adjustments to the
adapter in length and rotation position 2R45=34: The graduated scales
allow for a precise adjustment (Fig 1)
Fine changes in the alignment can be performed at any time with 506G3
Adjustment Set Screws When changing a module or in case of disas-
sembly, the previously determined position can be maintained, if two
adjacent set screws (specifically those most deeply screwed in) are re-
moved
Caution!
2R45=34: Pulling out the tube above the STOP mark and short-
ening the tube is prohibited (see Fig 4)
Tighten the socket head cap screw of the tube clamp with a torque
of 2R45=S:  13 Nm/2R45=34:  10 Nm and the 506G3 Adjustment Set
Screws with a torque of 15 Nm (see Fig 2)
Once you have finished the trial fitting, mark the height and perpendicu-
lar lines For replacement of the length adjustable tube adapter by modu-
