NOTE:
When the stairway elevator
will be out of service for a
long period of time, set the
ON/OF circuit breaker
switch to OFF and unplug
the battery charger.
LUBRICATION AND CLEANING
CRE-2100 NRUL 08-16-2004
Minimal maintenance operations will ensure optimal
reliable operation of the stairway elevator.
1.
Park the carriage at one end of the rail so that
the batteries will charge when the stairway
elevator is not in use.
2.
Keep the battery charger plugged into a live
outlet.
3.
Keep the rail channel clean and free of debris.
Wipe clean with Pledge®.
4.
Approximately once a year, regrease the gear
rack teeth ONLY with white lithium grease.
Regular cleaning is necessary in all applications.
1.
Run the stairway elevator up and down the rail
several times.
2.
Wipe the rail with Pledge®. It is important
to keep the rail free of dust and debris.
3.
Apply a thin layer of white lithium grease to
the gear rack teeth only.
4.
Approximately once per year, regrease the
gear rack teeth ONLY (more often if the
stairway elevator is operated in harsh
environments).
