OPERATION

LEARNING THE CALL/SEND TRANSMITTER

Notes on Interference
You may experience some inter-
mittent operation while using the
remote call/send transmitter.
While slightly inconvenient, this
intermittence in no way harms the
Stairway Elevator. Should inter-
mittence occur, use the rocker
switch on the armrest which is not
affected by interference.
Radio interference can occur if
more than one radio
control/device is operating on the
same frequency. Such interfer-
ence could prevent the proper
operation of the
call/send function.
For optimal operation, maintain
distance between the call/send
transmitter and (1) radio control
devices on the same frequency,
(2) high-voltage electrical wires,
(3) reinforced concrete buildings
and (4) CB radios.
To reduce or eliminate interfer-
ence, Bruno recommends setting
the interconnect board delay from
600mS to 900mS. This is easily
done by moving circuit board
switch (2) on (S1) to the ON
position.

The (2) remote call/send transmitters shipped with
the unit have been "learned" in the factory. No
adjustment is required.
Should you need to add or replace a remote, you will
have to "learn" that remote. To do so, follow the
instructions below.
Learning a remote call/send transmitter
1.
On the circuit board, locate the Learn/Erase
switch (S4) and its LED. Please refer to
the illustration in the lower left corner.
2.
While holding down switch (S4) on the circuit
board (Learn/Erase LED is on), press the UP
or DOWN button on the transmitter until the
circuit board LED goes out (approx. 2 to 5
seconds).
Release S4 and the transmitter button.
The remote is now "learned".
3.
Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for any other remote
call/send transmitter(s) that must be learned.
NOTE: You may learn up to (4) transmitters
per Stairway Elevator.
Clearing the memory
1.
In the event that an additional or
replacement transmitter is acquired and the
memory is full, the memory must be cleared,
and all transmitters must be re-learned.
2.
Hold down the Learn/Erase button and
switch (S4) until the Learn/Erase LED goes
out (approx. 12 seconds).
3.
Learn the new transmitter(s) as instructed
above.
